Biographical Information

Brief Biography

Dr. C.P. Ravikumar is the Chief Learning Officer at VINYANA TECH, Bangalore. He is also an Adjunct Professor at IIT Madras and IIIT Dharwad. Ravikumar obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California, a Master of Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science and a B.E. in Electronics from UVCE, Bangalore. He was a Professor of Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi (10 years). He spent 23 years at Texas Instruments (India) where he held several roles, including Senior Technologist (VLSI Test), Director of University Relations, and Director of Technical Talent Development. His research interests are in the areas of VLSI Test, VLSI Design, High Performance Computing, and VLSI Education. He established the VLSI Design and Test Symposium (VDAT) and served as its General Chair for 16 years since its inception. He was the Honorary Secretary of VLSI Society of India for 8 years, during which period he organized a large number of VLSI workshops, faculty development programs and seminars across India. He established the Bangalore Chapter of IEEE Circuits and Systems Society. He has published close to 300 research papers, of which 6 have won Best Paper Awards. Ravikumar is a Fellow of INAE. He received an award from Zinnov Foundation and a recognition from IESA for his work on eco-system development in India (Universities). He was awarded the Best Blogger Award (TI University Program) for 2013.
